Flood Alert update;
Issued 8.35am on Wednesday 23rd December 2020.
River levels remain high and are rising again at Crowhurst Bridge in response to some heavy showers last night. Further flooding of low lying land close to the river is possible from later this afternoon, particularly in locations around Crowhurst Bridge and Etchingham. Further heavy showers are expected during the day today which could continue into Thursday morning. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses in the area. This Flood Alert message will be updated by 9pm this evening, Wednesday 23 December, or as the situation changes.
