New tree planted in Queen’s Garden

Ceremonial tree planting in Queen’s Garden.

On 21st April 2023 Etchingham Parish Councillors and village residents gathered in Queen’s Garden to witness the planting of a new tree to celebrate the long life of the late Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The planting took place on what would have been the late Queens 97th Birthday. The tree, a disease resistant Elm, replaces a tree that was planted in 1953 when the site became Queen’s Garden to celebrate the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
