Flood Alert issued.

A new Flood Alert has been issued, we have not had any substantial rain for a few days, but heavy rain is expected overnight into Sunday morning, some flooding is possible from 5am Sunday.

Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.

Flood Alert in force: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal.

Flooding is possible for: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal, including Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Salehurst and Bodiam.

River levels are forecast to rise as a result of heavy rainfall Saturday evening, 26/11/2022, into Sunday morning. Flooding is expected from 5:00am Sunday, 27/11/2022. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads particularly in the Crowhurst Bridge area, around Shrub Lane, and around Robertsbridge.
After tonight’s rain, further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Sunday, 27/11/2022.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are out on the ground checking and clearing any blockages and debris from the River Rother. We are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond where required.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
