The Etchingham Safety action Group

THE ETCHINGHAM SAFETY ACTION GROUP

Inaugural Meeting in the Village Hall

Saturday 12th March 2022  –  10am to Noon

Primarily focussed on road safety throughout the village with particular reference to the school environs, Etchingham Parish Council is facilitating the creation of the above Action Group.
Whether or not you feel able to give time to the Action Group in the long term, this is the opportunity to voice your opinions on the improvements that should be made. It is important that everyone is heard, not just those that can become more closely involved as matters progress.
This is a village wide concern, no one can deny the issues around the school, particularly at drop off and pick up times in common with so many other villages, but there are other ‘hot spots’ that should also be addressed and we need a consensus from residents to have any chance of pushing for real change.
We are a relatively small village with, thank goodness, a relatively low reported accident rate so let’s keep it that way for the benefit of all road users, pedestrians and others. All Council budgets, at every level, are stretched so to make sure we get what we need is going to take perseverance and, dare I say it, stubborn determination.

More detail will follow but please put the date in your diaries and try to make it on the day – it’s a numbers game starting off with the people who care and is the only way forward.
