Flood Alert issued

A new Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.

From now on, to remove the need for continuous updates, the details of a new flood alert/warning will be posted on the various information channels currently used by the Parish Council for the purpose, as soon as received, the notices will include a link for residents to check on the Government website if the warning is still in force. Further updates will ONLY be posted if there are significant changes to the warning.

Flood Alert in force: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal.

Flooding is possible for: River Rother and its tributaries from Turks Bridge to the Royal Military Canal, including Crowhurst Bridge, Etchingham, Robertsbridge, Salehurst and Bodiam.

Flooding is possible in this area.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

The Environment Agency Flood Warning System has issued this message based on rising river or tidal levels.
