DRAFT proposal for Budget & Precept 2022 – 2023
As promised here is the Draft Proposal for Budget & Precept 2022-2023. Decisions on this have to be taken this early so that our District Council (RDC) have time to manage their end prior to sending out the bills around March next year.
This year’s rate shows a proposed decrease in the rate for Etchingham residents. We all wish it could be a bigger decrease but looking to next year your councillors do have to take a prudent view of 2022-23. Seems a way off but if all goes well it may be possible to hold the rate for a further year, 2023-24, as well. Only time, Covid and, at the end of the day, a degree of luck will tell.
If you would like to comment or raise queries about the proposed Budget please come to tomorrow night’s meeting and speak during public time. The meeting in Parker Hall starts at 7.30pm – masks until seated please – and public time is taken about 20 minutes to half an hour in. You do not need to remain for the whole meeting unless you wish to do so.
The document is published in Excel and PDF, if you are not able to open those documents you can request a printed version.
