Portfolio; Financial Management, Property Management, Environment
I have lived within our Parish for the last fourteen years. During this time I served within the Armed Forces and was fortunate to be able to participate in and contribute towards both family life and indeed village activities. It was important to me to become a part of this active and welcoming community in my quest to lay down solid roots for when the time came and I finished serving and became a permanent resident of Etchingham.
Since living in the village, I have been very fortunate to have schooled my children within the various educational opportunities. I have avidly supported the different aspects of village life, in order to enhance the community offering.
During my military career I dealt with most aspects of catering at the highest level; this has included the auditing of accounting procedures, food safety, career management, Health and Safety, Royal Events and international deployments of soldiers on Operations. I was also heavily involved within the Armed Forces’ contract management sector. On my departure from the military, I worked as an Operations Manager within a Livery Company in Central London for four years. This involved all overarching managerial activities within the business (marketing, HR, budgets, procurement, Health and Safety, Event management and service delivery) who delivered high class corporate events with a fine dining offering.
I feel that the knowledge, experience and expertise I have been able to attain over a long career in the Armed Forces/ London, will enable me to bring fresh ideas and a different perspective to the current and any future issues we, as a village community might face. I am committed to a safe and healthy future for Etchingham.
